“The LORD God made all sorts of trees grow up from the ground—trees that were beautiful and that produced delicious fruit. In the middle of the garden, he placed the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.” Genesis 2:9
While reading this verse, the words “tree of life” jumped off the page and I think what God is trying to say is,
I have set before you life and that you have a choice in what kind of life you want.
If you just obey and live according to my will (which is not difficult or boring) than everything in and around you will bloom with peace.
If we just trust in him, life will produce delicious fruits, that not only you get to enjoy, but all the generations to come.
Giving our life to God is not difficult, but what is difficult is choosing what voice to listen to.
Our choices will either make or break us.
The responsibility lies in our hands and God has given us the free will to decide what type of life we want.
We may have started off with someone else making the choices for us, but there is a point in life where the choices are ours and despite all that you may have been through you have that power to make it different.
God does not force anything on us, but instead only wants the best for us, but that can only happen when we:
One, give our whole heart to him
Two, when we obey his word (the bible) not a religion and we listen to that still small voice that plays on the inside of us when faced with a decision.
Life with God is beautiful and Life with God does produce delicious fruits….. we just have to want it.
